Skeet Shoot Competition at the 2008 Gueydan Duck Festival

The Gueydan Duck Festival hopes to continue its yearly tribute to the rich hunting heritage of Acadiana area by showcasing the talents of area sportsmen with the Skeet Shootoff. These events, held annually, are huge crowd pleasers and provide exciting festival fun for spectators and participants both.

The Skeet Shootoff will be at the Duck Festival Park in Gueydan on Sunday, August 24th, 2008. according to event chairman Ashley Smith and Blaine Hebert. (See the schedule for times.) The Shootoff will have three categories: Youth, Men and Women with plaques being given to first, second and third in each category. The Shootoff gives each contestant a chance to show the skills and ability that can be developed by hunting and sport shooting. As a special prize this year we will be awarding a new shotgun to the each champion in both the Men and Youth categories.
