VENDORS INFORMATION PAGE DEAR FESTIVAL VENDOR,
We contract with vendors from various parts of the country each year to provide services including food vending, product vending, commercial arts and crafts, and various other services for the 4 days of our festival. FOOD VENDORS: Food vendors are allowed to have three main items which are protected by a no competition clause. Other items are permitted including bagged goods, candy, chips, pickles, and other third party items. We call these free items and all vendors may sell them. All vendors are allowed to sell soft drinks of their preference. PRODUCT VENDING: We have no control over product vending. There are entirely too many novelty items to control with a no competition clause. We recommend that vendors try to sell one of a kind items so as to reduce competition. SPACES: The Festival is located on a 10 acre tract of land recently purchased by the Duck Festival which is located east of Gueydan on La. Hwy. 14. The main pavilion is the showcase of most events with the carnival placed behind the large pavilion. The crowds are funneled through and along side the main pavilion where the vendor spaces are located. INTERIOR SPACES: Inside the pavilion, interior spaces approximately (9’ x 12’) are located at each support column. These spaces are on concrete slab and surrounded by removable counters. 110v/20 amp service is available to these spaces. No water is available. PERIMETER SPACES: These spaces are reserved for food vendors and are equipped with 220v/50amp circuits and running water. No waste services are available however most trailers are self contained for waste water. These spaces are 20’ in length with appropriate width allowed. The trailer is set up next to the pavilion between the support columns and the vendor will serve into the pavilion. The spaces are rented by 20’ section. EXTERIOR SPACES: Limited exterior spaces are available and are usually reserved and utilized by novelty and service vendors. These spaces are serviced by 110v/30amp electrical panels with water also available. These spaces are based on 10’ x 10’ and are available at any additional length in 10’ increments.
